HOTEL INDIPENDENT, TURKMENISTAN
During the early years of Turkmenistan’s independence, architect Antonio Sala was invited to design and furnish the first international hotel in Turkmenistan. His Italian taste made a statement and fully satisfied the requirements of the customer: the wood paneled hall accommodates a made-to-measure spiral staircase that leads to the upper floors, where bedrooms and common areas are located, and that in those years became the iconic image of a growing economy.
